FINAL SCHEDULE, SPECIAL GUEST AND MORE CHAIRS

New update and kind of an important one once again!
We’ve had to review the programme rather significantly due to numerous defections over the past couple of weeks. Although I have tried to minimise disruptions, the related changes affect a dozen panels, therefore please check carefully if your presentation is amongst those who might now be scheduled at a different time or day compared to previous versions of the schedule – e.g. one panel was moved wholesale from Saturday to Thursday; all three workshops are now slotted on the late morning of Saturday; in other cases, individual presentations were re-allocated to different panels, some on the same day, a couple of others not. I’ve done my best to still consider everyone’s availability whenever we received any requests to that end. It means that some panels might not entirely fit their assigned stream anymore but that’s the least of our worries, frankly.
Given we are now very close to the conference, we hope that the current Schedule will be final. Should something really not work for you, please let me know right away and I will try and work it around.
Earlier this week I promised a surprise announcement: in addition to the two keynote speakers (Graham Lovelace and Guy Gadney), have Emmy-award winner screenwriter Roland Moore will join us via Zoom for both Table Reads to give instant notes to the delegates who present their scripts.
You can now check out info and pictures of the conference venue, including buildings and session rooms, to get a sense of where we will spend the four days of the event. In the next update, I will add details about AV in the rooms as well. The Conference page of the website is pretty much complete now; I aim to fill up what remains pending on the Oxford page over the weekend.
A big thank-you to the many delegates who volunteered to chair a panel. You will now find who has been allocated to chair what panel in the revised Schedule. We’re almost there: we need four more for panels 7, 12, 18 and 28. Anyone?
Tomorrow, I’ll run the usual end-of-week check on registrations, pre-orders and dietary requirements (THE CONFERENCE page/EATING). The clock is ticking now, therefore we’ll need anyone who has yet not completed those to do so ASAP (pretty please!) – we’ll pester you anyway, so you might just as well sort it out now.
